We Are Here To Serve!

Welcome to The Rest Memphis Ministries!

As a proud church, we celebrate our rich heritage and strong faith. Our doors are always open, and our hearts are warm with the welcoming spirit of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Missions Ministry

Mission: At The Rest, we are passionate about service! Our Mission’s Ministry is dedicated to inspiring and spreading the message of faith. Whether virtually or in our community, we aim to pursue our mission by reaching out wherever opportunities arise to share God's word and His strength. Our efforts often include providing meals for the homeless, engaging with children in under-resourced areas, organizing donation events, visiting those who are home-bound, and much more.

The Rest Missions Ministry continually seeks new and powerful ways to express love through service. We invite enthusiastic volunteers who are eager to engage in Christ's work and grow into lifelong disciples. Join us as a volunteer and extend your kindness.

Women's Ministry

Women’sThe Women's Ministry serves as a spiritual support network aimed at fostering self-awareness and encouraging community engagement among the women of Brown Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring areas.

This ministry embraces a holistic strategy in its service and ministry, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. Unlike any other sisterhood, we believe God has united us to experience life collectively and deepen our faith together. Each year, we celebrate Women’s Month, featuring events such as Women’s Weekend, a Mother’s Day Dinner, gatherings, and a variety of participatory activities.

Our mission is to be a resource that facilitates the healing of women’s broken hearts from spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical standpoints. We are dedicated to guiding women on a journey from brokenness to completeness.

Church Operating Officer/ Women’s Coordinator: Jacquelyn Walker

The Rest Music Ministry

MusicThe Rest Music Ministry, our focus is on sharing God's word through praise and worship. Our aim is to honor the Savior, nurture the believers, and spread the message to those who haven't yet found faith, all through the power of music.

We strive to inspire and uplift everyone, helping them connect with Christ and His teachings. By blending scripture and uplifting messages into our songs, we pursue a spiritual mission. We perceive our gifts of music and time as offerings to Christ, and we freely dedicate our efforts to the Lord, fellow believers, and those seeking faith.

Minister of Music: Demerrill Blackledge
